Looking at other student's "Twenty Time Projects," and their reflections of their finished projects was interesting and very helpful in helping me reflect on my own project thus far. The students were able to see what they had done that they would like to change, as well as make suggestions as to how they might want to change the project in the future. Most of the student's issue that they found was procrastination, which I have also experienced along with this project. Some realized that they may want to change what they are doing, or just not set themselves to a certain goal, and just get out as much as they could from the project. These comments were very inspiring to me and I will take them to heart while working on finishing my own project.
The progress I have made so far on this project is mostly just research. I have learned quite a bit about Addictions Counseling, as well as a couple other types of counseling. Recently I was accepted to the Illinois State University Social Work major, which is where I have planned to attend after graduation from high school. This is my first step in actually becoming an Addictions Counselor, and am there for very relieved to have been accepted. To finish this project, I will need a lot more research to be done, and I will need to meet with someone to help them in their future career planning.
